Jennylyn Mercado is M.I.A.

Okay, here's the gist. Jennylyn Mercado was a no show at a supposedly live appearance on StarTalk last Saturday, May 9, and on a mini prescon for her birthday concert at the Music Museum on May 14 titled "I am Woman." Jennylyn also failed to attend an earlier press conference for her birthday concert.

Jennylyn told the manager, Becky Aguila, that she will get her camera fixed and then get her hair styled before proceeding to the studio where the interview was to be held. She drove her car alone. Until now neither her manager nor her close relatives know Jennylyn's whereabouts.

I know why Jennylyn is missing. It is because she is a mental illness waiting to happen. Girl was a victim of child abuse and clearly that trauma has fucked up her brain. I'm not armchair psychoanalyzing either. Proof that all is not right up there with Jennylyn. Exhibit A: going from delish Mark Herras to wonky-eyed Patrick Garcia. 'Nuff said.

Giving birth appeared to have made her worse. Exhibit B: Her firm insistence that her child not see the baby daddy. It's not pride; it's mental illness, or the beginning of. Clearly girl can't live without drama in her life. It's like she believes that life is not worth living if it is all quiet and chill in her personal life.

I had a random sighting with this girl when she just won "Starstruck I Ultimate Female Survivor." She's very pretty, but pretty in showbiz can take you up to just a certain point. With that being said, I hope her relatives find her soon. I'm eager to find out what kind of BS she's going to pull out to explain her missing for nearly 24 hours. Geesh, we may have to wait for days if she doesn't turn up soon.

Speaking of mental illness, Snooky Serna is on a warpath with Gina Alajar. It all started when Ms Gina, as a parting shot, told Snooky "Oh huwag mala-late ha?" in front of reporters during a story conference for their indie film. Snooky felt disrespected because all people who heard laughed.

It must really hurt being the punchline to a joke, but just ease the pain with your money. Snooky now runs a few businesses. She now owns a car; not just a car, but a luxury vehicle. She can now also afford to buy branded gowns. Her situation now is so different from a few years ago when she wanted to change her name to Kate. Who could blame her for trying to escape the reality that is her life? She should have been wallowing in money, having worked her butt off since at a very young age. Realizing you're Purita Mirasol is enough to force one into the deep end.

I really have to hand it to Snooky. Really, there is a savvy mind under that mental illness. Land yourself a rich man, and voila! every thing is good and dandy. I hate to say it but money can really make things happen, even cure mental illness.
