BB Gandanghair Refused Entrance in a Bar for Cross Dessing

BB Gandanghari, the female reincarnation of ex-hunk actor Rustom Padilla, was reportedly refused entrance at Aruba Bar and Restaurant in Metro Walk in Ortigas because the establishment has a dress code, which includes no cross-dressing.

The bar is the same one that refused entrance to stand-up comedian, Inday Garutay, because of, you guessed it, cross-dressing. To make the story, gusto mang rumampa ni BB sa Aruba Bar at panoorin ang concert ni Rannie Raymundo, that idea was unapologetically nixed by the bar's bouncer, manager and owner.

The bar has so many rules, ha. There's one that says "the bar may refuse entrance to those who are incorrigibly uncool." This means us who are incapable of being sophisticated or worldly wise. Can you say pretentious?! That applies to the establishment, the owners of the establishment and the hoity toity crowd at Aruba. On behalf of the sweaty masses, I salute all of you with both hands up and the middle fingers extended.

Ok, now back to Ms BB. She waxed poetic about the incident in her blog. I must admit I didn't read the whole thing because it has all the boring, philosophical and political stuff and quotes from dead people. Read it here if you must. So, Ms BB said that she now knows how Rosa Parks must have felt back in the day when racial segregation was the "in" thing. Hate to break it to you Ms BB, but what you felt when you were refused entrance in Aruba is not even a smidgen of what black people experienced in their daily life. C'mon now. Blacks didn't have branded dresses, shoes and accessories, and Shu Uemura cosmetics back in the day. Sorry to be dissing Ms Bb, but I'm just sayin'.

The "no cross dressing" rules. It's all about the rules. Rules are rarely black and white. If Ms BB is not a well known celebrity and she enters the bar, no one would have mistaken her for a cross dresser. There are many gays out there who look way more girly and feminine than real women. And there are women who look like dudes. Paano ang mga operada, ang mga tibo? How would this rule apply?

In the grand scheme of things, Aruba is just a gnat. Meaning it's insignificant and should not be turned into a rallying cry by gays who have had it with discrimination. For all we know, this global recession, with a little bit of bad karma thrown, would see the end of Aruba. Even "cool" people would need to scrimp sometime, you know?

Pops Fernandez is not Reconciling With Ex Martin Nievera

At a press conference to promote her new album titled Hope under MCA Records, cougar singer/actress Pops Fernandez clarified that she and ex-husband Martin Nievera are not in constant communication. They do talk occasionally, especially if it's about the children they share together. Pops made this statement so as not to mislead the public.

Does this mean they are not reconciling? What about the fans?! Who will now watch your concert(s) with Martin? Who will now buy your CDs with Martin in it? What about the fans? The fans don't watch your concert and buy your CDs to hear your angelic voice. They buy the romantic idea of you and Martin together. Let's be real, Pops does not have the most excellent of voices out there. I remember reading a Pops concert review years ago in which the writer said that the voice of then child star Aiza Seguerra was better than the main attraction of the show. Ouch.

By the way, Martin sings a duet with Pops in a song titled "Goodbye Girl" in her Hope CD. Hmmm, what an apt title, that CD. Like, I have so much hopes for Pops. For example, "I hope she finally stops injecting her lips with ass fats." "I hope you finally find the ideal prey to your cougar." [You go, girl!] :P C'mon share all your hopes for Pops.

Speaking of lip enhancement, WTF happened to Pops'?! She was so much prettier with her old lips. And it seems her BFFs Gretchen "elevator" Baretto and Ropa Gutierrez have also jumped the "Angelina Jolie lips" bandwagon. Girls, natural is so much prettier.

Blind Items: Your Guess Is As Good As Mine

Blind items from my favorite showbiz writer Cristy Fermin via my favorte read Bulgar:

1. Totoong-totoo pooohhh...

"...nagkuwentuhan at kumain kami.

Martin Nievera vs Jomari Yllana Part 2

I was so disappointed when it appeared that the Martin Nievera-Jomari Yllana was over after Martin refused to make a rebuttal to Jomari Yllana's statement in Cool Center. But in his interview on SNN (Showbiz News Ngayon) Martin finally let it all out. I love Martin again simply because he uttered these beautiful words:

On whether he was hurt by Jomari's statement on Cool Center, Martin's catty remarks were: "No. He was reading it, so whoever wrote it [gives a thumb up sign]. Rawr!

Martin further added that he will never work with Jomari Yllana again. Well, whose brilliant idea was it to do a concert again with your ex-wife, Pops Fernandez? I think it was made to rile up those hibernating Martin and Pops fans who are still hoping for a reconciliation. Fans, give it up. If you still can't, Martin more or else said "I never thought about it [reconciliation] before, during and after the concert." Martin, keep that thought, well until Pops' lips return to their normal state.

Martin interview was held in Boracay, the site of the 2009 Goma Cup, in which he is a celebrity participant.

Beyonce: Voice of an Angel

Here's a clip shock jock Howard Stern played on his Sirius Radio program that is supposedly the unedited board feed from Beyonce's performance of "If I Were A Boy" on Today back in November 2008. It turned out to be a fake as someone claimed to have doctored it for fun.

If listening to Adam Lambert hit those falsettos is not enough to clean your ears, click the video above. Your ears will definitely hear better.

Beyonce's Pa issued this statement:

If no one took the time to look at the biggest Inauguration in the history of America then shame on them.

If no one took the time to listen to Beyonce sing 'America the Beautiful' and 'At Last' at the Neighborhood Ball for the first dance of President Obama and the First Lady, and they question Beyonce's vocal ability, they've gotta be an idiot.

At 12 years into her career, the last thing someone should be questioning is her vocal ability.

That would be like questioning if Kobe Bryant could shoot a jump shot. The vocals were obviously altered.

American Idol 8: Simon Tells Us What He Really Thinks of Kara

During the Top 7 Performances, Simon Cowell let us know what he really thinks of fellow judge Kara DioGuardi when he surreptiously saluted her with the middle finger. How passive-aggressive was that?! Come on, Simon! Tell us how you really feel.

According to OK!, the story behind the picture above is that, "DioGuardi upset Jackson during last night's live performance show when she interrupted his critique of Kris Allen's performance.

An "irritated" Jackson responded by looking down the judges' table to Cowell, who OK! reported "proceeded to flip his middle finger (while pretending to scratch his ear) at Kara while she spoke."

In other American Idol 8 news, Anoop Desai is no more. Oh, sadness. The last person who is making me tune in every week has been voted out. Lil Rounds was also eliminated. This I am sad because it was way past her time to go. But dang! Her elimination was way harsh, in my opinion. If I want to listen to "big voices," I will YouTube Charice Pempengco. At this point, we are just waiting for the coronation of Adam Lambert. Let us who are still left in the competition:

Allison - Meh. one-note singer. If I want to hear a 16-year-old singer, I will listen to Charice Pempengco

Adam - Holy falsetto, Batman! If you like your ears cleaned without a q-tip, he's the contestant for you.

Danny "dead wife" Fokey - That was a typo, but I'm keeping it because hate! Overrated and overpimped by both Paula and Kara

Matt - boring. That is all.

Kris - For an eye candy, he's okay.

Update on the Anaballe Rama, Richard Gutierrez and PEP Saga

There have been several developments on the issue involving Anabelle Rama, Richard Gutierrez and PEP. Anabelle Rama has filed a P25 M lawsuit for grave slander against Wilma Galvante. Richard Gutierrez has also filed a P25 M libel suit against PEP for uploading an article about an alleged scuffle involving Richard Gutierrez and Michael Flores.

Wow, if Anabelle loses in her suit against Wilma Galvante, she will be P8 M poorer. However, she and her family would be P50 M richer if they win the lawsuits against Wilma Galvante and PEP. I wish a judge would immediately reject these ridiculous, multi-million lawsuits for the income-generating schemes that they are.

The Gutierrez family has also issued a cease-and-desist letter demanding that PEP immediately stop from writing articles about her main money maker, Richard Gutierrez. They read PEP and saw from the comments from PEPsters that public sympathy is not on their side. It is all Anabelle Rama's doing. There are malicious commenters, trolls they are called, but in general PEPsters are an intelligent bunch who see through Anabelle Rama's bullshit.

If Gutierrezes somehow succeed in shutting down PEP, those commenters will find a new forum. You want to stop a huge section of the Internet community from commenting against Richard Gutierrez? Good luck with that. Ask Edu Manzano if he has made any progress in shutting down the online downloading of movies, videos over at P2P portals.

When I see Anabelle Rama on TV, I have both hands up in front of me with the middle fingers extended. She's probably coming from the right place in her desire to protect her money makers, but she, her big mouth and her bullshit are the one turning the public away from Richard Gutierrez.

The Gutierrezes are all celebrities, constantly in the public eye. In my mind, that makes them fair game. If they don't want negative stories and comments to be attributed to them, then they should move out to Antarctica and watch while the glaciers melt. I think the only people who will miss them are showbiz folks who have received gifts and money from them at one time or another, and of course the Gutierrez family's very own brown noser, Jun Lalin.

I watched Anabelle Rama being interviewed on Showbiz Central, and immediately I noticed that something was amiss. It took me a while to figure out that she is not her usual loud and obnoxious self, possibly upon the advise of her lawyers to gain public sympathy. It was a tamer Anabelle Rama, but she lets out acerbic words aimed at PEP's lawyer, who was earlier interviewed on StarTalk, once in a while. Well, has any of us seen a leopard change its spots? As long as Anabelle remains a palengkera, bungagera, pala-away, mukhang pera, then all is right in the universe. An epiphany, even a religious one, will not turn Anabelle Rama into a saint, I don't think.

I just had a thought. If Richard Gutierrez is suing PEP because of a noble obligation to fight for the rights of other actors who have been victims of false journalism, or if he just wants to make a point, why doesn't he sue for P1, or better yet announce that the money will be given to charity? It's not unheard of, but probably first in the Philippines.

Broadcaster Ted Failon's Wife Dies

Ted Failon's wife, Trina Etong, has died from an alleged self-inflicted wound to the head. This should have been an ordinary shooting incident, but because Ted Failon is a sort-of celebrity known for his hard-hitting commentary on socio-political issues and because the police mysteriously chose now to show their "vigilance," the issue has become a farce.

I would have liked to avoid the "serious side" of celebrity because there is no talentless starlet to diss, or ego-tripping celebrities to mock. There is no fun in that. But this issue tugs at the heart strings and raises one's sense of right and wrong. To me this issue resonates with a good versus evil vibe that I can't help but follow to the end just to see the outcome.

My first reaction was, "Ted Failon, his wife is in the hospital with a gun shot wound, big deal." But I happened to catch the late night news yesterday. Big mistake because what I saw just melted my coal-black, cynical heart.

What has happened and continue to happen to Ted Failon's family are the stuffs that we thought we would only see on hardcore teleseryes. It's hard to watch while relatives and household helps are being arrested by police while the victim is fighting for her life. And consider this, Ted's oldest daughter saying, "Mahirap pong aminin on national TV that my mom committed suicide." Ouch. I can empathize since suicide matters are best left within the family to deal with. Instead, they are forced to make this kind of disclosure so they will be left alone to grieve in peace.

I'm not one to take things at face value. But with so many people telling the same story, one can't help but believe that it is what it is. To the police, I have two words "overkill and overacting." Sana you are this quick to respond when dealing with big-time drug dealers, crooks and corrupt government officials. As it is, mga hayup pa rin kayo. Full story below.

Trinidad “Trina” Etong, wife of ABS-CBN news anchor Ted Failon Etong, passed away at 8:50 pm Thursday night after suffering from a gunshot wound to the head that her family said was self-inflicted more than a day earlier.

ABS-CBN vice-president for Manila Radio and Sports Division Peter Musngi, who was in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the New Era Hospital in Quezon City where Trina was being treated, said the patient's condition turned for the worse at 8:25 pm after her blood pressure went down.

He said at least six medical attendants tried to save the patient, but nothing happened.

As of posting, Musngi said Failon had already called for a priest who will administer the final blessings on his 44-year-old wife.

"Ted is inconsolable," Musngi said. "He is both sad and angry."

Kin taken into custody

Shortly before Trina’s death, members of the Quezon Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit arrested took into custody four of her relatives for questioning.

Investigators held Trina's siblings, Pamela Arteche-Trinchera and Maximo Arteche, along with two others, identified as Mary Ann Ronda and Jacqueline Perez.

They were taken from the New Era General Hospital, as they stood watch over Failon's wife.

Police charged Pamela with obstruction of justice.

As of posting, Pamela had already been released and was able to return to the hospital at around 11 pm following her sister’s death.

Police said they would no longer charge Maximo for obstruction of justice after he tried to stop the police from arresting his sister, Pamela. Maximo was also released from custody.

Inhumane treatment

In an interview on Bandila, Kaye Etong, eldest daughter of Failon, criticized the Quezon City police for their allegedly inhumane way of treating her relatives.

“My relatives are not criminals. They just wanted to take care of my mother,” Kaye said.

She said the police had no warrants of arrest when they took into custody her relatives.

Kaye said she believes her mother felt the stress from the commotion brought about the police’s warrantless arrests, which contributed to her passing away.

“I think mama felt the stress,” she said.

Kaye said that when her mother tried to kill herself on Wednesday, she was alone, and when she died, she was without her siblings.

She asked the police: “Are you content with what you’ve done to us? What else do you want to do to us?”

Kaye said there were no inconsistencies in the statements of her father and the helpers who were in their home when her mother attempted to kill herself.

“It’s very painful to admit before the public that she tried to take her life. It’s hard to admit before national TV that my mom committed suicide,” she said crying. “Stop all these charges already.”

Excessive force?

Senior Superintendent Elmo San Diego of the Quezon City Police District said he will investigate claims by Failon's relatives that policemen used excessive force in taking them into custody.

“Well kasi, meron akong hazy na report, I’m just waiting for the official report from the field. Kasi daw, meron daw allegedly, yung kapatid daw ni Trina nag-scandalo dun. The police officers tried their best to contain the situation,” San Diego said.

“Ang problema nga, meron sinasabi sakin yung mga friends natin, nakita naman sa footages parang meron daw excess na, excessive force na ginawa yung mga bata. And at this point, I'll have to investigate. Bukas susubmit tayo ng report at aantayin ko yung report na manggagaling sa mga bata sa field. Wala pa kasi official na report na binibigay sakin,” he added.

Lack of respect?

Commission on Human Rights (CHR) chief Leila de Lima said based on videos of the arrests, there appear to be numerous violations of police procedure and a lack of respect for what the family was going through.

She also raised the possibility that the Quezon City police’s actions against Failon were a retaliation against ABS-CBN’s exclusive video footage of the summary killings of alleged car thieves near the National Irrigation Administration in Quezon City.

“I hope that this is not part of any design to harass Ted Failon or any other TV personalities, especially of your station. I hope, ha,” she said. “Baka naman harassment ito dahil nga, it was ABS-CBN which caught on cam that incident on EDSA-NIA.”

De Lima added that they will investigate the arrests.

Watchlist

Meanwhile, the justice department ordered the Bureau of Immigration to place Failon on its watchlist.

Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez said Thursday Failon is considered a suspect at this time in the shooting of his wife, who was found in their home Wednesday with a gunshot wound to the head.

"I instructed the Bureau of Immigration to put him on the watchlist," Gonzalez said.

Police are still trying to determine if the shooting was a suicide attempt or foul play.

In a press conference Thursday morning, National Capital Region police chief Roberto Rosales said everyone at Failon's residence will be treated as a suspect, including the ABS-CBN news anchor himself.

Negative for gunpowder

A paraffin test on Failon yielded negative results. But Rosales clarified this is not yet conclusive.

"Walang makapagsabi na suicide, walang nagsabi na may bumaril. We will depend on evidence that we have recovered and will still be recovering from the area," Rosales said.

Speaking to ABS-CBN late Wednesday night, Ted said his wife may have tried to commit suicide because of financial problems.

"Kung ano man ang problema na iyan, kung pera man yan o anuman yan, kikitain ko lang iyan. It's all about the family's finances,” he said.

Failon also tried to assure his wife by saying, “Mommy, galing tayo sa wala eh, di pino-problema iyan."

Helpers taken into custody

Police on Thursday took into custody Failon's helpers.

Carlota Morbos, Frida Bollecer, Pacifico Apacible, and driver Glen Polan-- were all taken to Camp Karingal for possible obstruction of justice after the bathroom where Failon's wife was found and the vehicle used to bring her to the hopsital were cleaned.

Morbos, Bollecer, and Polan were detained in the police headquarters after they were charged with obstruction of justice. Apacible, a relative of Trina, was released following Trina’s death.

Morbos, Bollecer, Polan, Apacible, and Pamela Trinchera will have to post P12,000 bail each on Friday.

PAO told to stop helping Failon

Gonzalez, meanwhile, has asked the Public Attorney's Office (PAO) to stop meddling with Failon's case.

Gonzalez said PAO chief Persida Acosta cannot represent Failon unless ordered by the court.

Earlier, Acosta said Failon should be allowed to move without restrictions since no charges have been filed against him at this time.

Failon is under police custody. He has also been charged with obstruction of justice and will have to post bail.

"It is not within their [PAO] mandate. I will charge them if they insist on handling the case. I already called Acosta and I also sent her a memo. She can't represent conflicting interest unless the court orders her to assist Failon on the spot. What I don't like is that she already talked to the relatives of the wife and to forensic experts and is contemplating on helping them file charges,” Gonzalez said.

Apology note

Pamela, Failon's sister-in-law, confirmed it was Trina who wrote the letter of apology that Failon presented to police investigators.

She also said that contrary to reports, Ted and Trina did not have a heated argument prior to the shooting.

Second look

Investigators also took a second look at the house of Failon on Thursday, and the result may help the broadcaster clear his name in the shooting of his wife.

San Diego said investigators found the trajectory of the bullet that went through Trina's head inside the bathroom where she was found.

“Nung una, ang sepculation inilipat yon at hindi talaga yun yung scene, pero yung second search na ginawa, nitong SOCO na ‘to, yung second processing, lumabas ngayon na dun pala kasi nakita na yung bullet marks dun sa dingding. Sa tingin ko na pabor kay Kuya Ted ‘to,” he added.

San Diego also said they may return to Failon's house several more times to be able to complete their investigation.

Manny Pacquiao on TMZ

Manny Pacquiao is now being followed by paparazzi in LA. See video of Manny carrying a baby while being followed by TMZ.

TMZ phrased it as "Oscar de la Hoya's last contender, Manny Pacquioa." Uhm...Manny won over Oscar de la Hoya convincingly, so it should have been worded as "Manny Pacquiao, who beat Oscar de La Hoya to a pulp and convinced him to quit boxing for good...Show some respect, please.

Jordan Herrera Denies Having Had Gay Relationships

Jordan Herrera is denying that he had engaged in relationships of the homosexual kind. Now, you might be wondering (or not) why we are hearing so much of Jordan Herrera these days. It's because he is in that teleserye called Kambal sa Uma on ABS-CBN. There's nothing to talk about Jordan Herrera, save for the blind items linking him to this and that rich gay man (emphasis on rich).

I can hear my favorite columnist Cristy Fermin and Jojit de Niro laughing their asses off upon reading this denial. Of course I've read a lot of blind times of this hunk actor being kept by a rich gay benefactor and this hunk actor having a falling out with his rich gay benefactor. Whenever I read a blind item about a hunk actor and gay rich man, I automatically picture Jordan Herrera.

Jordan did not stop at No. In his PEP interview, he used words like "hindi ko kayang sikmurain yun." "Kaya kong tumingin sa mata ng iba at sabihin na hindi ko kayang gawin yun." "Marami akong raket at maraming artista din ang nagbibigay ng tulong sa akin katulad ni Kuya Ipe."

Hokay, Jordan Herrera never had a gay benefactor. And Boy Abunda is an anal sex virgin. Philip Salvador is helping him financially. Does Philip Salvador have a career these days? I think he has yet to pay a substantial sum for being convicted in a estafa case filed against him by a former lover. San kukuha ng pera yun? Kay Bong Revilla at Jinggoy Estrada?

Anyway, Jordan, who cares if you made patol sa bakla. This is without a doubt the most exciting issue about you. Once this dies down, what is there to talk about? And you said you can never make patol because you have a family? Dear, I hate to break it to you, but a family is not a hindrance, it is a motivation, well in the case of magutom ka vs pumatol sa bakla it is.

Aubrey Miles is not a First-time Mother, Yo!

Aubrey Miles appeared on SNN (Showbiz News Ngayon) to finally reveal that she has an eight year old son by ex-boyfriend, JP Obligacion, a grandson of veteran actor Oscar Obligacion. As you would expect in such disclosures, tears were aplenty as did words of remorse and guilt.

In Aubrey's Facebook account, she wrote that she will be dropping a bomb. As bombs went, it was just a rebentador for me. Duh! My favorite entertainment writer Cristy Fermin already showed proof of the child's existence, complete with a picture and reliable sources from the US hospital where Aubrey gave birth. Can you say, vindicated? I'm sure Cristy's level of self-righteousness and holier-than-thou attitude just went a notch higher with Aubrey's confessions.

Aubrey was forced to keep her son a secret because she was being build up as a sexy star and sexy stars are not supposed to be married or have a child. So, the viewing public is to be faulted for making her lie because we want our sexy actresses to project the illusion of being unattached, therefore, reachable.

Actually, I want to fault her for thinking that being an artista is the only way to make a decent living for her young son and family. Last time I looked, there are single parents who work in offices, hotels, government agencies, what have you. Ah, okay, these jobs are out of the question because they are not glamorous and low-paying. Hokay

I can forgive Aubrey for lying about having (gasp!) a child. What I can't forgive her for is her performance and shtick in the Amazing Race Asia 1. This twit and her partner, twat, forgot it was a damn RAAACE!!! and just mugged for the camera during the entire three minutes they were in it. They were clueless bordering on stupid. Way to reverse the dumb-model stereotypes, ladies.

As for Troy's reaction... does he even understand this? I mean, the interview was done mostly in Tagalog, and despite living in the Philippines for several years he still cannot speak Tagalog. Still wondering why he has no career to speak of, despite being pretty?

As for Boy Abunda who interviewed Aubrey, he asked "Anong pinagdadasal mo ngayon?" I'm sure he wanted Aubrey to utter more gut-wretching, heart-wretching confessions to milk that last drop of tears. I wanted Aubrey to say, "to resurrect my career after this confession because I now have two sons and Troy to take care of." I would have been a fan forever.

Blind Items: Your Guess Is As Good As Mine

I've lost my mojo for dissing celebrities, so here are two blind items from my favorite reading material, Bulgar. Hopefully, tomorrow I'm back to my favorite pastime, okrayin ang mga celebrities.1.

Sexbomb Dancers Involved in Boracay Fight

Sexmbomb dancers Rochelle Pangilinan and Aifa Medina got into a fight with a guy at the Crystal Sand Resort in Boracay. Apparently, Rochelle, Aifa and a friend played music too loudly, prompting the guy to approach their table and say something like, "nandito sa Boracay para magpahinga." That should have been the end of it, but when the guy turned to return to his table, he overheard someone saying, "bakla." This irked the guy into throwing a bottled water at Aifa, allegedly. Before the bottle could hit its target, Aifa, threw a glass at the guy's face. To cut the story short, dun na lang sila lahat nagpaliwanag sa pulis.

Did I fall asleep for a week, woke up just now to find out that the Holy Week is over? Why are there so many dumbasses getting involved in scuffles in Boracay? First, there was commercial model Andrew Wolff, then a beauty titlist at the recently concluded Bb Pilipinas in a hair pulling incident with another Boracay guest. Now, here are the sexbomb dancers.

First of all, you sinners out there are having the time of your life in the beach, while some us here in front of the PC have to refrain ourselves from watching PORN in deference to the Holy Week. Can you do a Bisita Iglesia in Boracay? Can you do the station of the cross from island to island? NO, because it's a fucking party place.

To the dumbass guy who got face planted with a glass for his hypocrisy and self-righteousness, that is your reward for coming to Boracay for relaxation. You can now relax in your room, take care of those stitches, while rest of Boracay party on. Yeah!

As for the more dumbass Sexbomb dancers, jail time should be the reward for their skankness, narrow-mindness and homophobia. Calling a guy "gay" for telling you to turn down the music? You're one of those women who expect to get a pass from insulting, name calling a guy just because you happen to be females.

Oh well, on the next cat fight in Boracay next year.

Showbiz News Tidbits

Jordan Herrera's manager must be working overtime trying to deny that it is Jordan Herrera who is the subject of blind times about an actor who is currently in jail in Bulacan for killing a male dentist.Hmm.. Why is Jordan Herrara continuously being linked to issues related to "kabadingan?" Full story here.

Model/part-time actor Andrew Wolff was detained in a jail cell in Boracay for grabbing the gun of a mall security guard. The latest update is that he is out of jail after settling the issue with the complainant. Hmm, objectively speaking, he has a first-class physique and fez, pero low-class attitude. Oh well, I guess it all downhill for him after being linked with Gwen Garci and Keanna Reeves.

JC de Vera's Career on Hold

JC de Vera's budding career has been put on the freezer for now, may be forever, as his moneyger Anabelle Rama and GMA Network executive Wilma Galvante fight it out in court. Well, the catfight between Anabelle and Wilma started because of JC, i.e. the incident during the story conference for a TV series that JC was supposed to do.It is not surprising that JC is currently a frozen delight, considering that he has decided to back his manager via a sworn statement that was included in Anabelle's counter affidavit to Wilma's lawsuit. In it, he stated that he was harassed that led to his confusion, and that the GMA executive badmouthed Anabelle to his face. He also denied crying during the story conference, which led to his being brought into the office of Wilma Galvante. However, he was previously quoted as saying along the vein of , "there's nothing wrong in crying. Hindi nababawasan ang pagkalalaki porke umiyak."

He has no project lined up. So there are rumors that he is spending time drinking and getting drunk to pass the time, or wallow in self-pity and his career that is in the dumps, whichever is appropriate.

JC, hindi pa man laos na. I had high hopes for you too, being young, handsome and semi-talented. I don't know if JC was coerced into writing that statement. If he was, I hope you grow some balls, k?

Blind Items: Your Guess Is As Good As Mine

Here's a blind item from my favorite writer, Cristy Fermin, in her Bulgar column on Apr 2: "Sikat na magka-loveteam, nagpapalitan ng panty at brief at inaamoy-amoy para pampatulog."Hindi sila [magka-loveteam] makatulog nang hindi nila inaamoy ang mga undewear nila. Ganun and paraan ng paglalambingan nila. Natutulog ang lalaki na nakabalandra sa ilong nya ang panty ng girlfriend nya. Ang girl naman, yakap-yakap ang gamit nang briefs ng boyfriend nya."

No clue. But in closing, here is the rest of the article, "Parati natin silang napapanood sa pelikula at telebisyon, pareho silang sikat, itinuturing na poste ng isang network ang kanilang tambalan."

Sinetch itech? Your guess is as good as mine. :P

Sarah Geronimo Gets P200,000 Only Per Movie

Sarah Geronimo is reportedly only getting P200,000 per movie per her contractual agreement with Viva Films, despite having two blockbuster hits in a row: A Very Special Love and You Changed My Life, both opposite John Lloyd Cruz. The initial reports said it was P50,000 per movie, but Star Cinema, the co-producer of Viva Films in Sarah's movies, pushed for the singer-actress to receive a higher pay. At para pampalubag loob, Sarah was given P1 M as a bonus.

It appears to be unfair to Sarah if you compare the salary of other young actresses who have not had the kind of hits that Sarah had (coughangellocsincough). And if you compare this to how much Willie Revillame earns per day, you would seriously think about throwing yourself in front of a bus. It's more than P1 M per day, an amount of money that an average Filipino will never earn in this lifetime.

Anyway, I don't really feel bad for the girl. I mean, have you seen her ten million commercials on TV? She even endorses a school, which as far as I know, she doesn't attend. I would really be surprise to learn if she attends college at all. Yeah, good role model.

BTW, what is Piolo Pascual doing endorsing a powdered detergent? Are we suppose to believe he does his own laundry using that brand of detergent? Wala lang, I just couldn't understand the whole concept of Piolo with a bunch of ladies washing clothes in a river setting. Yeah, perfect choice of a product endorser.

Ok back to Sarah, next time gurl negotiate for a better contract. I read in a tabloid that Sarah's parents are cheapos. Err, the correct words are masinop and matipid. Well, I can understand that. After all, Sarah can't be a cash cow forever.

This Time Anabelle Rama Is The One Suing

The entertainment site PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) has issued an apology but Anabelle Rama will still be filing a lawsuit against PEP for erroneously publishing a report of an altercation between her son, Richard Gutierrez, and another actor, Michael Flores, during the birthday bash of director Mark Reyes.
There will be two separate lawsuits, one from Anabelle and the other from Richard. Wow, that should be worth millions and millions of pesoses in damages.

Anabelle is out for blood because PEP's editor-in-chief apologized for not making a thorough investigation of the incident before publishing the report. Anabelle wanted PEP to say that the incident never happened at all.

Anabelle is keen on pursuing the case because, according to her, her entire family felt hurt by the report on PEP and it tarnished Richard's status as a major endorser and as today's No 1 young actor in the country. Even her daughter, Ropa, condemned PEP's article via her Sunday entertainment show, The Buzz.

Uhm, if I wasn't mistaken not the entire Philippines read the article. It was an online article that only the most avid PEP reader will catch as it was taken down almost immediately. Take me for example. If not sa pagbubunganga ng mga Gutierrez, hindi ko malalaman na may artikulo palang ganun.

Hay, Anabelle, making a mountain out of a molehill. Scandals and erroneous reports are part and parcel of being a public figure.

GMA Executive Sues Anabelle Rama

Anabelle Rama is being sued by GMA Network Senior Vice President for Entertainment for libel. The suit also seeks a temporary restraining order (TRO) and P7 M in damages from Rama. The war between the two started when Anabelle Rama accused Wilma Galvante of harassing her talent, hottie JC de Vera, into accepting a project, causing the actor to cry. Oh hotness, why the tears? Are you afraid of losing a project or your manager? Wilma is afraid of Anabelle and her tendency to do bodily harm to those who get in her way. That's why the TRO.

Wait, there is no mention of jail time if Anabelle is convicted. If there is a higher being, Anabelle Rama will be found guilty, made to pay damages and languish in jail.
